Domestic violence and its impact on children
Domestic violence is unfortunately a growing issue affecting an increasing number of families. Many people don’t realise the significant impact it has on children. Children raised in such an environment often face emotional difficulties that can have long-lasting effects on their development. Traumatic experiences, fear, and a sense of danger – all of these leave a mark that can influence their future.
Opoka is an organisation that has been supporting those affected by domestic violence, including children, for years. We understand how crucial it is to provide help to both adults and the youngest victims. We work to ensure that victims of violence can regain a sense of safety and dignity, and our support is available in Polish, making it more accessible for Polish women in the UK.
